I am no machinist but i can clearly see how the threads on the inserts are so poorly machined. The filter is located behind the glove compartment. Was easy to use, didn't have any problems drilling and tapping. Drilling a tiny hole on the side of the probe will help blast more shavings off the wall so they can be blown out.
