The ones that got it to work. So it's not clear to me that you're actually getting an upgrade, depending on what the Burn part thinks you are doing. Who knows what that's for? Edit 2: I just removed the references to util extension for compilation and the installer seems to work fine. For these ones select no. One such issue included lack of gesture controls for trackpads. I simply need to turn off the tapping.
In the list of drivers for my model for Windows 10 there is nothing, but for Windows 8 has a driver Elan. The default uninstaller of the program is MsiExec. The Device Manager always shows an Asus Support Device not Asus Touchpad. Note : — Make sure to take backup of your system drivers using Driver Talent before you use the utility. After a quick reboot, it works! If I run the exe directly, I get some nasty script error. Hope it solves your issue! If your hardware id is not on that list, then your only option is to use one of the drivers included in the section. Then run troubleshoot using hardware.
Would you like to answer one of these instead? I hope this can help to other people. Driver Talent will automatically be downloading and installing the best-matched version without a glitch in the background. Hi, I just updated windows 10 too, and that problem was making me crazy. Moreover, the updating from the system is continued. I never use the trackpad, I use a mouse but trackpad is stuffing up by flicking up menus and god knows what all the time, as well as it not even functioning properly it only scrolls.
I can scroll down with my 2 fingers!!! It came with Windows 10 installed. Thank you all once again. I have been suffering for a year without the two finger scrolling and just today I decided to attempt at it. After looking through your site here, I came across someone having had success with the version 2. A big big thank you. Hi I can't uninstall 'Asus Smart Gesture' in order to install a new version which can disable the touchpad.
Basically multitouch was gone, only one finger worked. I guess if you are signed into the cloud it sets up and activates automatically. We previously released a product consisting of a single msi package, and now we are preparing an upgrade which consists of a wix bundle containing a new version of this msi package. After that, Smart Gesture 4012 installs fine, but no driver gets really installed in Device Manager. My guess is that they are clueless.
Thanks, Francesco It does appear to be the smart gesture software. The hard drive died and I installed Windows 10 Enterprise evaluation copy and the touchpad worked perfect. It can't do an upgrade because you have the same ProductCode. I guess if you are signed into the cloud it sets up and activates automatically. The only weird thing about the gestures is when you use the 3-Finger Function upwards for the task manager , the Start menu also pops up. I have tried the repair function from a download and from the control panel, programs list, to no avail. No response from the trackpad at all.
Now after restarting back in Windows 8. I have tried everything that has been mentioned in this thread. The official website of the developer is www. The error code is 2835. I can live without the 3-finger function. If anyone has anything that will help, please let me know.
Thanks for putting this up and keeping it updated. Perhaps this question has been asked, but I have not found an answer. Everything works fine now, thanks a lot. When I went to the application list, I saw Asus Smartgesture located in the list. Edit: Restarted anyway after the latest repair attempt and magically it's back.
A few days after the installation of Windows 10 I was requested to update my Asus Smart Gesture. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. I was wondering if there is any alternate drivers and control panels available for these trackpads that allow more gestures that are user customizable. Thanks I installed the new one and scrolling for two fingers worked. Downloaded Smart Gesture for Windows 10 from above given link 4. But first I had to uninstall the previous version and restart the pc. A program required for this install to complete could not be run.
