It is very tight in this area, the sensor is behind the transmission dipstick… Remove your passenger front wheel, then you can see the crankshaft pully 4 bolts you have to remove the pully to gain access to the timing belt cover. No the ckf and the ckp are not the same sensor for a 2000 Honda civic. My distrubutor plug is one plug instead of a 2 plug that d16z6 have. Check your passenger side kickpanel to trace back the wiring from the 31 pin connector. It's goin to be a D16 and the coupe or hatchback doesnt' matter. If I were you I would get a jumper harness to convert to obd1.
