As simple as it sounds, the owner's manual is the best place to start for bulb replacement instructions and illustrations. You can then lift the top of the air box out of the way. Driver Side: 1 Remove the 10 mm bolt that holds the air box down this is on the gold colored bracket on the driver-side fender. In these cases usually its better to go to the dealer for the service. Open it and reach down inside and grab the bulb's socket. We show you both if you're looking to just change a bulb as well as if you want to replace the whole headlight because your headlight is clouded or damaged in any way.
Release the retaining pin if applicable. The valance is attached to the wheel well and can be left intact. Pull the cover down slightly, reach in above the cover to release two white clips. Do not touch the glass part of the bulb assembly, as this can cause the bulb to blow out prematurely. Doing this will make it easy to reinstall the cover.
It only controls fan speeds 1, 2, and 3. This is for headlight adjustment. Once you've succeeded there will be a quarter-inch gap between the shelf and the housing. Place the new headlight into the retainer ring lining it up properly. Put the glove box back into place the push the retaining latches into place. This is for headlight adjustment. For the passenger side, remove the battery bolt with the ratchet, extension and a socket.
It will take some doing, but the whole assembly has to come out in order to get to the bulb. Sometimes there is an access panel on top. Turn the seal counterclockwise to remove. I suggest that you see how the bulb goes in so it aligns correctly. I used a vise grips clamped on the hose not too tightly to help wrench off the hoses. Then pull on the whole unit as it has two pin like clips that also hold it. You just need to remove the plastic shield over the back of the headlamp to gain access, unplug the electrical lead, and unscrew the bulb.
Not much help, I know, but that's all I've got! Replace the cap so nothing falls in. Make your purchase at AutoZone and take advantage of trustworthy advice provided by helpful staff during your next in-store visit. This is a wire clip. Kind of bolted up for the fender, that bumper cover. Turn the ring on the bulb retainer counterclockwise and pull it off. Gently pry only the center plug of the pin up. Oh yeah- you will have to re-program your radio after disconnecting the battery. Loosen the steel clamp on the flexible rubber intake tube running toward the top of the engine to make this easier. Visibility and clarity are critical for safety when you're driving in inclement weather or at night. The dash does not have to be removed, at least on my 2001 Sentra. Attach the new block to the connector, slide it back in place and replace the two mounting screws.
One screw is visible, one is behind the connector. One note: there is another intake path at the bottom of the air box. Sorry cant go into details on how to do it because I havent done it yet but hey that's the instructions I got on how to do it so maybe it will help you. I recommend using gloves,don't' touch the light bulb it's self just the metal part on theend of it. On each side at the rear you'll see a flap that can be opened in the trunk liner. Reconnect the negative battery cable and close the hood. To change the passenger side is easy.
Take the plastic out from around the edge and put it in place. Then you will see there is a little grey plastic bit that seems to be the last bit holding the light assembly… There are two 2 lights directly above the license plate. I suggest that you see how the bulb goes in so it aligns correctly. Replace the bulb with the identical number listed in your owner's manual. Position the new bulb in according to the locating tabs--concentrate on the 12 o'clock positioned locating pin.

Locate the headlight bulb socket and remove the electrical connector from it. When you can no longer turn the cover, pull it out. Open the hood and find the electrical lead into the headlamp: that plugs directly into the bulb, which is screwed into the headlamp. If you are worried about getting your hands on the bulb, use some latex gloves. You have to figure out which little square goes where on the lamp assembly.
