After asking friends they were convinced it was a clutch problem but after opening up the casing for the clutch I don't see anything out of the ordinary and am concerned that it may be a transmission problem. Near the end of last year, the only way for it to fire was the have full choke, and full throttle, and the engine bogged down and you had to keep on throttle for 25mins. This quad doesn't need anything. First it would click like it was shifting, but the wheeler wouldn't move and when I hit the gas it revved up like I was in nuetral. I've got the suspension, handle bars, steering and bottom of the motor on the brand new frame previous frame was totaled, that's why it's disassembled. It was cool to see what the May Mud had to offer the yammies. Check our fitment table for more details. The summer before it had a hard time idling, but we fixed it by cleaning the carb, and messing with idle. Again my suggestion stands- test the cutoff relay.

Okay guys I've had this 250 sitting in my shop for a little over two years and finaly found the parts to fix it. That's 50 parts petrol to one part 2 stroke oil. Most likely that is your problem. I'm not very mechanically inclined and you all can talk circles around me when it comes to repairs.

The fact that it is clicking tells me that the solenoid is working properly. All theses contribute to overall pricing. Fired it right back up and it ran perfect. Surprisingly the Yamaha Grizzly 700 never got stuck that many times in the may mud but hey, we never really went out to get stuck! This I know because of 4 years of mechanic school.
